Georgia advertising rules, for your website.
Firm name and phone on every page, in equal or greater size, prominence, and frequency than yours.
What Georgia actually requires
Georgia requires the firm's name exactly as registered, with its phone number, on every viewable page of a site, at the top so it reads as prominent. The firm's name and number must appear in equal or greater size, prominence, and frequency than any licensee's or team's, and GREC counts an agent or team name inside a URL or email address as an occurrence that needs matching firm prominence.
The team and naming provisions were substantially adopted around 2019; the Commission's current guide reflects rule text as of January 2025.

What that means on the page
The rule as a set of decisions your designer and developer have to make before launch, not after.
Firm name exactly as registered
No dashes, abbreviations, or alterations. The registered corporate or trade name, character for character.
Every page, with the firm's phone number
Name and number on every viewable page, placed at the top for prominence.
Equal or greater size, prominence, and frequency
The strictest proportion rule in our set because it adds frequency: count how often the agent or team name appears, including inside URLs and email addresses, and match it.
Teams have a Team Leader and a naming rule
Every team has a designated Team Leader who submits team advertising to the broker and keeps a roster. Names must include Team or Group and may not use Associate, Brokerage, Broker, Company, Corporation, Corp., Incorporated, Inc., LLC, LLP, LP, Real Estate, or Realty.
What catches people out here
These are the parts that do not transfer from another state's template.
Your domain name counts against you
If your team name is in your URL or your email address, GREC treats each appearance as an instance requiring matching firm-name prominence. This is the rule most likely to be missed by whoever builds the site, because it lives in the address bar rather than the layout.
A governance role, not just a naming rule
Georgia is the only state in our set that mandates a Team Leader with explicit responsibility for pre-clearing team advertising through the broker. Compliance here is an org-chart question as much as a design question.
One click, framed strictly
Space-limited media get an exception, but Georgia frames it as the public being no more than one click from a fully compliant page. North Carolina, next door, recognizes no click exception at all. Do not port between the two.
This page covers state advertising rules only. Fair housing, MLS display rules, and consent for lead forms apply everywhere and are covered in our brokerage website requirements guide.
The rules genuinely differ
California requires a license number on your site. Texas law bars its commission from requiring one. Never assume a neighbouring state's template applies.
Do not see your state? We add one only after verifying its rule against the actual statute, because a confident guess about a licensing rule is worse than no page. Ask us and we will read yours with you.
Built to your state's rules,
live before you open.
We read the Georgia rule as part of the build, so the brokerage name, identification and disclosures land where they belong the first time.
